Democracy is what you want it to be, so the utterances of the Prime Minister would appear to be melodramtic to some. For some politicians in power for too long do not wish to evolve to a better way to develop and implement democracy.
Libertarian Democracy is the means to attain the perfect democracy where small parties and independent candidtates subject themselves to their local and national electorates to gain representation in Parliament (House of Commons) so that the people are heard where decisions are taken and laws enacted.
The more multicultural a country is the greater the need for Libertarian Democracy.
