Coronavirus pandemic
I am not an expert but I should perhaps draw your attention to the possibility that the cleaner the lives we lead in terms of hygiene through the use of disinfectants to counter microbes, the lesser the body may develop its immune response to an infection when it does strike the individual. This problem is also exacerbated possibly by the mere fact that microbes mutate and develop their own resistance to the use of medications and externally applied disinfectants to maintain the cleanliness of the body. So cleanliness is perhaps not next to godliness. We should be better off leading natural lives which will enable to body to withstand invasions from parasites that cause use diseases.
When considering the vast range of natural body disorders that reduced life expectancy going after a virus and disturbing the natural ecosystem of the Planet is also fraught with unintended and unforeseen consequences that we humans come to regret in the short, medium and long term that cause mental distress, economic uncertainties and physical sideeffects, so that we need to be careful that we are not using a sledgehammer to crack a nut with our extensive supervision epidemiologically and with vaccinations and antiviral agents to deal with the Coronavirus pandemic. The world population in the long term will be weaker immunologically as a result with the short termism implicit with constant lockdowns to reduce the number of fatalities now.
