Dear Shantanu,
As per paragraph 7 of the English Appeals Panel's decision, your appeal was withdrawn by you. They simply confirmed that they accepted your withdrawal. Quote: "It is therefore my view that this appeal submitted by the appellant has been withdrawn,
and so there is no matter before the EAP at present involving the erstwhile Appellant."
The English Appeals Panel has no further involvement in your attempt to join the Party.
On the 5th of June 2024 you advised that you no longer wished to challenge the decision to decline your application to join the Party. If you feel that there was an incorrect decision made, you have 14 days from the date of that decision to appeal. you are entitled to change your mind about whether you wish to appeal the decision to decline your membership until the close of business on the 19th of June 2024. You can do so by completing a new form, and providing your reasons why your application should not have been declined. I will ensure that it is passed to the English appeals Panel and given a new case reference number.
Please note that your publications and emails detailing that you have founded a new UK based political party (of which you are the Leader) contravene Article 3.8 D the Federal Constitution of the Liberal Democrats. You have also confirmed on the 13th of June 2024 that you are a current member of the Reform UK Party. Breaching that specific article (3.8 "Membership may be revoked on one or more of the following grounds:" (D) "membership of or support for another political party in Great Britain") is enough of a reason for anyone's membership of the Liberal Democrats to be revoked and as such your membership may be revoked if you are successful in having your application to join the Liberal Democrats approved.
The Standards Office has received multiple further emails from you and as previously warned, we will not be able to engage with this volume of queries by email with you.
However, you mention that you feel your application was influenced by racist motives. If you feel that any individual has discriminated against you, you can raise a direct complaint about their behaviour/conduct via the following link: https://digitallibdems.typeform.com/to/DScNxUqZ
Kind regards,
Beth

Re: ESCALATION OF THE PRELIMINARY DECISION OF ENGLISH APPEALS PANEL CASE 30 Yahoo/Inbox Standards Officer From...
I understand the points more clearly now, but dispute the conclusion that I needed to provide my objections to the findings before 24 May 2024. The time allowed was not sufficient for the reason that both Medway Liberal Democrats (Chair Lynn Ibeji) and South-east Liberal Democrats had not given me any kind of an advance warning that my behaviour during the 2021-2022 membership of the Party was bordering on offfensive. Following the flagging of my initial application on 1 April 2024, with the Appeal registered with the Standards Officer as was appropriate, I needed to correspond with each of the persons (Lynn Ibeji, JECastle, Anna Tarrant, Paul Farthing and Mike Dixon to find out what their individual objections were so that I could then support my Appeal to the English Appeals Panel correctly.
The Sinha report refers to pastoral care: I have never been looking for pastoral care from the Party. My sole objective in bringing my Appeal is to clear my name of any wrongdoings. The Sinha report was therefore not based on the substantive points that led to my rejoining the Party was refused by the local and Southeast Liberal Democrats.
When it comes to the real reason that the Sinha Report failed to deliver the correct decision, it makes no mention of the objections that these Local Liberal Democrat members brought to bear on the proceedings, so I was once again hamstrung in my response, and had to resubmit another Appeal document, with going to the website and joining the Party in order to flush the local party members out into the open.
It is not sufficient that the Chair of Medway Liberal Democrats can simply wish the matter away with the attached communication: FrLynnIbejicctoOtherSELDmembers(Opposingstill)4Jan2024.docx with totally unjustified statement that if I apply to rejoin she will make her case to the English Appeals Panel and not engage with me to get to the bottom of which emails that I sent her she found objectionable and further why she did not refer those emails to Kent Police for investigation.
I have yet to receive any communication from J Castle and Paul Farthing cited in the Rahul PN Sinha report so that the injustice of denying me membership for reasons that I know to be a Hate crime against me is kept under wraps.
Getting now to the other point that the Report mentioned, the Standards Officer was partly to blame for my two withdrawals in what I described to you as lackadaisical processing of the Appeal.
And finally, the Sinha report is wrong in suggesting that I am forming a political Party with members to contest elections: if it had corresponded with me instead of conducting Hearing in my absence I would have made clear that I am a social media journalist and the Director of the Conservative Libertarian Publications Limited that uses the TCLP-UK status in the Model to investigate and publish, not to contest elections.
You make it clear that the decision of the EAP is not appealable to a higher authority within the Liberal Democrats, and I accept that you have limited resources.
I would therefore reason with you that the Chair of the EAP resits and reconsiders Case 30, preferably through Zoom mechanism to contact me and other objectors in a group session.
Yours sincerely
